As you may know, wordpress.com blogs do not have a built-in registration function.

Users must register to wordpress.com before they can comment on subdomain blogs which belong to the domain wordpress.com.

You ask, whats the difference? The difference is that users can manage their own wordpress.com profiles and post comments in any subdomain (ie: xxxxx.wordpress.com) relative to wordpress.com.

How long does it take to do? It take less then two minutes to register your own username on wordpress.

Simply click on ::login:: in the Meta category section on the right hand side.

You then select ::Get a free WordPress account::
You then fill out the fields:

  • username
  • password
  • e-mail address
  • and select: Just a username, please (radio button)
  • click next

You will then head over to your e-mail account, and select the message (which was sent to you after you clicked the “Next” button), click on the ::link:: (which is a url)to activate your wordpress account

You can now post comments by simply going back to jadavison.wordpress.com or any other xxxxx.wordpress.com blog.

Additionally, Professor Davison can add users to the users list on this blog as a contributor by way of e-mail address.

If you were unable to figure out how to comment on this blog, seek help now!
